The qualities we admire
in adults are generally learned early in life.
The Cub Scout program
is designed to promote character development
in boys ages 6 - 10 by
focusing on 12 core values:
We have a fun packed curriculum which the boys follow through each year, with a specific program designed for each grade. This curriculum is focused on the core values of cub scouting
Camping, probably the most famous element of Boy Scouts - and some of the best times are had camping!!
We do at least two campouts a year, the Fall one being at the ever popular Cub World. The boys absolutely love the adventure and freedom along with all the activities that accompany an event. In the last few years we have done....
Archery, BB Guns, Pirate Ships, Fishing, Swimming, 'Midnight games', Star gazing trails, camp fire, skits and songs, far too many jokes to mention and of course S'mores!!!
One last point on the subject of camping, but it does seem to sum up the whole idea of Cubs. On the walk back to camp last year, after an exhausting round of games by flashlight in the dark, one of the new cubs came up to me and said "Mr.Durham....this has been the best day of my life!!"
- Cub Scout Camping - its what memories are made of!
